Cheese & Wine Workshop

Love Cheese? Love Wine? Join us on our cheese and wine pairing evening and discover how to make amazing pairings that you can re-create at home. First we'll reveal why they pair so well together and then we'll explain both the art and the science behind making great cheese and wine pairings. Next, we'll show you how to create amazing, tastebud-tingling combinations that will elevate your cheeseboard to a whole new culinary level. During the evening we will guide you through a selection of delicious local and international cheeses that we have matched with wines from local vineyards and around the world. You'll be encouraged to mix and match to find the pairings that work for you! We might even serve some chutney... At every event you will enjoy six different cheese and wine combinations. The pairings will vary from one event to another, depending upon what we're enjoying, but all events will feature at least one local cheese, one local wine and at least three pairings selected from the combinations below: Chaorce with Champagne, French Chevre (goats cheese) with a Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc, Fielding Cottage Wensum White with a Norfolk Bacchus, Greek Feta with a Beaujolais Villages, Baron Bigod Suffolk Brie with a barrel fermented Chardonnay, Tuscan Pecorino with a Chianti Classico, Norfolk Binham Blue with an Italian Ripasso style red, Norfolk Dapple with Winbirri's Signature Red, Smoked Lincolnshire Poacher with a South African Pinotage, Colston Basset Nottinghamshire Stilton with a Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) Port. We know our wines but we rely on fabulous local cheesemongers including The Cheeseman on Norwich market to help us source the very best cheeses. A selection of premium biscuits for cheese, oat cakes and grapes will also be served. Perfect for foodies!
