About this event
Join Carmelo Peña Santana, founder of Bien de Altura in Gran Canaria and Jable de Tao in Lanzarote, for an interactive online masterclass. Carmelo farms old vines at high altitude in volcanic 'picón' soils, focusing on indigenous varieties like Listán Negro. Jable de Tao, established in 2022, grows vines on their own roots in Lanzarote's unique terroir shaped by its proximity to the Sahara. This session features 55ml samples of seven wines sent in advance to your home. Tasting includes: Jable de Tao 2023, Tenesar 2023, La Diego 2023, Paraje Tao 2023, Ikewen 2023, Tidao 2022, and Sansofi 2022. The event is hosted via Zoom with Erica Dent and includes a WSET-style tasting sheet. Open to EDW Alumni Club members, their guests, and those with WSET Level 2 or above. Participants are encouraged to have cameras on and join the discussion.
