This wine course explores the range of fortified wine available, tasting a variety of dry, off-dry and sweet fortified wines, some over 30 years old. Across eight wines, you will discover different styles of fortified wines that are available in the UK. Up until the second world war, fortified wines were the most famous wines in the world. In this course you can discover why they deserve to make a come-back. Wine at Le Cordon Bleu Overseen by Matthieu Longuere MS, Le Cordon Bleu London wine masterclasses aim to provide a better understanding and appreciation of wine through the study of some key winemaking processes, regions and relevant topics such as food and wine pairing.
