About this event

The French Wine Scholar® (FWS) program is the gold standard for in-depth and comprehensive certification, entirely dedicated to the wines of France. Designed for passionate wine enthusiasts and industry professionals, the FWS is your gateway to mastering the intricate appellations, groundbreaking viticulture, winemaking artistry, historic landmarks, and rich traditions that have cemented France’s position as a global wine benchmark. The course consists of eight online 2.5-hour live virtual classes held weekly, covering all major French wine regions including Alsace, Champagne, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhone, Loire, and more. All students receive a study manual and access to Wine Scholar Guild's e-learning modules. A tasting kit with 50ml samples of all wines (excluding Champagne) is included in the course fee and delivered to UK addresses. The final examination is taken in person at West London Wine School. Recordings of each session are available for those unable to attend live.
