About this event

This Italian Wine Scholar™ course unit covers the wines of Central and Southern Italy, offering an advanced and comprehensive study programme created by native Italian Maurizio Broggi with support from Italian wine DOC/G consortia. The course is delivered over seven weekly online sessions, each lasting 2.5 hours, with live virtual classes every Tuesday from 9th February to 23rd March 2027. Each session includes tasting of at least six wines, with 50ml samples provided via a weekly delivered tasting kit (UK only, unless otherwise arranged). All live sessions are recorded for catch-up. The course concludes with an in-person exam on Tuesday 30th March 2027 at 7:00pm at The Wine Cellars in Fulham. The programme is ideal for wine professionals, sommeliers, importers, or enthusiasts with a strong interest in Italian wine, and serves as a valuable supplement to WSET Level 3 or Diploma studies. Students may take Unit 1 and Unit 2 in any order. The course fee includes study materials, tasting kits (unless opted out), and the in-person exam.
