Saturday Introduction to Wine With Lunch - Italian Themed

Our Saturday event with lunch has always been very popular, but for 2026 we are changing things to make it an even more interesting and indulgent experience. We will now focus our attention on one of the three main wine-producing countries of the world – France, Italy and Spain. This allows us to take a deeper dive, and we’ve also upped the wine budget significantly to give you a richer experience (just look at the list of wines below!). In addition, rather than taking a break for lunch, we will graze through the afternoon on a selection of expertly prepared “small plates” from the St Vincent Kitchen, paired with the wines we are tasting. There are a total of 12 fabulous wines to sample, from sparkling through, white, rosé, red and finishing with something for dessert. For our Italian themed day, the wines will be as follows: Franciacorta DOCG, Gavi di Gavi DOCG, Soave Classico DOC, Fiano, Bardolino DOC or Valpolicella DOC, Lambrusco, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC, Chianti Classico DOCG, Primitivo or Negroamaro, Aglianico del Vulture DOC, Barolo DOCG or Barbaresco DOCG, Moscato d’Asti DOCG. You will taste 12 wines from all over Italy and learn all about wine including how to make amazing food and wine pairings. The day is suitable for anybody, from beginners to budding connoisseurs and is a relaxed, informal event.
