Slurp x Waud Handford Wine Tasting - Wednesday 21st October 2026

For one afternoon, Slurp and Waud Handford are putting the range on tables in a room in the City and opening the doors. Around 50 wines, four hours, no particular order to work through them in. Everyday bottles you'll want to restock through winter, sitting alongside a few proper occasion wines you wouldn't normally open on a whim. All poured, all open, all yours to work through. Wander, taste, skip what doesn't interest you, linger on what does. Expect names like Laurent-Perrier, Spier, Wakefield, Mar de Frades and Ramon Bilbao on the tables. It's been a few years since we last did this, and it's still the best way we know to find what you'll actually want in the house this winter. Reading a tasting note tells you something. Tasting a row of them side by side tells you rather more. No notes to study, nobody checking what you know. Come for half an hour on the way home or stay the whole afternoon.
