Wines of Western Australia

In this special masterclass Leah Newman will lead us through a tasting of fine wines from Western Australia. Western Australian wines are celebrated for their elegance, restraint, and intense varietal purity. Despite producing less than 5% of Australia's total wine volume, the state punches far above its weight, accounting for roughly 30% of the country’s premium wine show medals. This success stems from a combination of pristine environments, deep ancient soils, and the cooling breezes of the Indian and Southern Oceans. Leah is a regular visitor to Western Australia and will share her experience of the regions of Margaret River, Great Southern and Swan Valley.
