About this event
The WSET Level 2 course is aimed at wine enthusiasts and wine industry employees alike. It is slightly more in-depth than the WSET Level 1 course and is aimed at those who really love wine and want to learn more.
The course provides a more detailed understanding of wine production and the key factors that affect wine quality. You will learn how to read (and interpret!) wine labels, how to choose the best wines based on geography and grapes, and will be able to taste, describe, compare and discuss a wide range of popular grape varieties.
Duration & dates: Mondays 21st and 28th of September, and 5th of October 2026, 10am – 5pm.
Group: Limited to a maximum of 12 students.
Tasting: You will sample over 30 premium wines including Champagne and port as a part of the course.
Exam: 50 multiple-choice questions test to be completed at the end of the last day.
Qualification: Fully accredited and internationally recognised WSET Level 2 Wine Award Qualification certificate and lapel pin are granted to students with a score of 55% or higher.
Preparation: No previous qualifications required. Recommended minimum 11 hours of study using the textbook prior to the course.
Course content includes: WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting, key red and white grape varieties, major wine-producing regions (France, Italy, Spain, USA, Australia, etc.), wine labels, storage, service, and social responsibility.
